The Summitt is sewn in Los Angeles by Lefty Production Co., a mom-run manufacturer, in small batches. Making clothes in LA costs much more than making them overseas, and small batches cost more per shirt than big factory runs. The fabric is a bamboo and cotton blend with no polyester, which costs 3x more than a standard tee fabric too.

If I followed the usual retail formula, this shirt would be $112. I’ve priced it at $88 because Boxjump is new and I’d rather earn your trust than hit a markup target.

What you get for it: a tee that’s actually long enough, in a plain classic cut that won’t look dated next year. Shipping is free, and so are returns for 30 days, so if it’s not worth $88 to you once it’s on, you can send it back.

Anyone that falls outside the narrow fashion standards will find that tops and dresses don't fit or flatter. If you have a longer-than-average torso these things tend to be true: Tunics fit like regular shirts, short dresses fit like tunics, and above-the-knee dresses barely cover your bum. The waist of a dress hits too high and the hip flare happens too high. The armhole is too close to your armpit. We might try on a shirt and think it's too small, but actually it was just designed for someone with different proportions.

These days a size Tall means a standard shirt had a couple inches added to it. And since everything has gotten SO short, those couple inches aren't enough. At Boxjump, tall means designed for a tall person by a tall person. That means the shoulder spacing is different - there's more room in the armhole. The bust and waist are in a different spot. When a standard top has more length added, the bust and waist are both wrong. We didn't take an existing shirt and make it longer; we designed a new shirt.

Boxjump is for both. Our focus is longer length tops and moving the waist down from the standard waist location. Some tall women have average torsos, so standard tops are fine. Other tall women may have longer than average torsos, so regular tops will be too short. Long torso women universally struggle to find tops that are long enough. Everyone is different! So Boxjump is here for anyone who just wants a longer top.

Wash in gentle cycle and cold water, hang dry.

Washing inside out will preserve the fabric longer.

Tumble dry on low is an option for most of our fabrics, but the fabric will wear out faster.

As long-time planet-loving humans, we care deeply about how daily choices impact the whole. We care about the health of the oceans when we wash our clothes and the health of our hormones when clothes touch the skin. At our size, we're not developing our own fabrics yet, so we partner with high-quality and ethical fabric suppliers. We avoid polyester where it's not necessary and save it for high-need products like dresses. We approach sustainability with balance. We're not all hemp, but we're not using greenwashed polyester either.

If you can do a boxjump in your clothes, you have a full range of motion. Our name is a design principle - it's about comfort, mobility, and full expression. If we can move our arms and legs freely we will feel more creative, secure, and open.

Returns are free within 30 days of receipt. Items must be unwashed, unworn, and in original condition.

If the size is not right, please submit as a return and create a new purchase for a new size.

We accept returns of unwashed, unworn items in original condition within 30 days of receipt. Proof of purchase required. You can find the details in our refund policy. 

Returns are a big source of waste in the fashion industry. Returns that we receive in like-new condition will be resold at a discounted price in a separate section of the store.

Returned items that are just in good condition but not sellable will be donated to Goodwill or women's shelters in the San Diego area.
